Are there any scams to be aware of?

The IRS will never call, e-mail, or text you. They will call you only in the event you have given them prior permission. The IRS corresponds only by regular US mail.  If you are unsure of any correspondence you have received, please contact our office. NEVER provide information to anyone regarding your taxes or personal information without checking with our office.

The same applies for Social Security calls and correspondence, as well. Social Security will never call to ask for payment or account numbers. All correspondence will be by US mail; even then, call Social Security directly at 800-772-1213 to verify the letter is accurate.

Business correspondence from New Jersey will be sent by mail and usually in a blue envelope with three perforated edges to tear off and open. If you receive correspondence from New Jersey as a business owner, contact our office before paying any fees requested.
